Product Description
Sweet, tender and with a clean, delicate flavour, fresh scallops are one of the great treats of the British coast. At their best with minimal interference, they are a fish that rewards confidence and restraint in equal measure.
Get the pan very hot, pat the scallops dry and sear for no more than a minute or two on each side. A golden crust on the outside, soft and just cooked through in the middle. That is all they need. A little butter and a squeeze of lemon alongside is often enough. The 500g pack serves three as a main course or up to six as a generous starter. Each scallop is hand-cut to order. The pack contains approximately 10 to 18 scallops depending on size, as the number will vary with the catch on the day.
Our scallops are sourced through Brixham Fish Market, landed fresh from the South West coast and shelled ready to cook. Prepared to order with nothing sitting in stock, and sent out fresh on your chosen delivery day. Always fresh and never previously frozen, so you can freeze them at home if needed.
Serve simply seared in a hot pan with butter, lemon and a little sea salt.
