At Hamiltons Fish, we take pride in delivering the freshest seafood to your door, whether you're just down the road or across the country. Please read the information below to understand how our delivery service works.
Delivery Options
Local Delivery (TQ12, TQ13, TQ14)
We offer local delivery in our own vans across selected areas in South Devon.
– Deliveries are usually made on Thursday
– You will receive an email on the day of delivery to let you know it is on it's way.
– Minimum order: £20
– Free local delivery on orders over £60
- £4.95 delivery fee for orders under £60
Nationwide Delivery (UK Mainland)
Nationwide orders are sent via DPD using their next-day tracked service with a 1-hour delivery window.
– Choose your preferred delivery day at checkout (Wednesday to Saturday)
– Orders are packed with eco-friendly wool insulation and frozen gel packs
– Minimum order: £20
– Free nationwide delivery on orders over £60
- £4.95 delivery fee for orders under £60
– Optional upgrade to DPD by 1pm available at checkout for an additional £4.95
Freshness & Packaging
We do not hold stock. Every order is prepared fresh to match your chosen delivery date.
All seafood is vacuum-packed and clearly labelled. Most products are suitable for home freezing.
Local orders are packed in cardboard boxes. Nationwide orders are insulated using natural sheep’s wool liners, sealed with paper tape, and chilled using frozen gel packs to ensure freshness for up to 48 hours.
Dispatch Days
We dispatch orders Tuesday to Friday only.
There are no dispatches or deliveries on weekends, Mondays, or Bank Holidays.
During peak periods (e.g. Christmas), availability may be limited — we advise booking early.
Delivery Guidance
– Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery on the chosen day
– If you're not in, DPD may leave the parcel in a safe place or with a neighbour, depending on your settings
– We cannot accept responsibility for missed deliveries due to incorrect address details or unavailable recipients. If your parcel is left in your chosen safe place we accept no responsibility for any stolen, lost or damaged parcels.

Important Notes
– Due to the perishable nature of our products, we do not offer international shipping
– We currently ship to UK mainland only (excluding Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Scottish Highlands & Islands)
