Product Description

Sweet, delicate and with a soft, fine texture, plaice is one of the most recognisable flat fish in British waters. Its distinctive orange-spotted skin and clean, mild flavour have made it a British favourite for generations.

Cook whole on the bone for the best flavour, basted in butter as it roasts, or pan-fry the fillets for a quick, light supper. The flesh is tender and cooks quickly, making it one of the more straightforward flat fish to prepare at home. It suits simple seasoning and classic accompaniments without needing much more.

Our plaice is sourced through Brixham Fish Market, landed fresh from the South West coast. Prepared to order by our fishmongers, with nothing sitting in stock, and sent out fresh on your chosen delivery day. Always fresh and never previously frozen, so you can freeze it at home if needed.
