
Cod Gyros Wraps
Bring a taste of the Mediterranean to your kitchen with these light and zesty cod gyros. Marinated in lemon, garlic and herbs, then served with crunchy salad and tangy yoghurt dressing, they’re ideal for a relaxed summer lunch or sharing platter.

Ingredients
- 2 cod fillet portions (around 300g), cut into strips
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and black pepper
- Flatbreads or pitta, to serve
- Shredded lettuce or cabbage
- Thinly sliced red onion
- Cherry tomatoes or cucumber, chopped
- Plain Greek yoghurt
- Fresh dill or mint (optional)
Method
- In a bowl, combine lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, oregano, salt and pepper. Add the cod strips and coat well. Marinate for at least 20 minutes.
- Heat a pan over medium heat and cook the cod for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
- Warm the flatbreads or pittas, then layer with salad, cooked cod, and a dollop of yoghurt. Add herbs if desired.
- Wrap and serve immediately while warm.
Serving Suggestion
Serve with lemon wedges and a side of fries or roasted vegetables. These wraps also pair beautifully with tzatziki or a drizzle of hot sauce for extra zing.
