Product Description
Earthy, delicate and ready to eat straight from the pack, hot smoked trout is a quieter alternative to hot smoked salmon with a character all of its own. Smoked in house over hardwood until cooked through, it has a soft, flaking texture and a gentle smokiness that suits lighter dishes particularly well.
Flake it through a warm salad with beetroot and horseradish, fold it into scrambled eggs, serve alongside a simple dressed cucumber salad, or use it to top blinis or rye bread for an easy starter. It also works well stirred through pasta with crème fraîche and capers. Versatile, unfussy and consistently good straight from the pack.
Our hot smoked trout is made from fresh rainbow trout sourced from trusted British farms, smoked to order in house by our team. With nothing sitting in stock, it is sent out fresh on your chosen delivery day. Always fresh and never previously frozen, so you can freeze it at home if needed.
Serve simply flaked over a dressed salad with crème fraîche and a little lemon.
