Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need any previous experience?
No experience is necessary for the Round Fish, Flat Fish, or Mixed Species classes — they’re perfect for beginners or anyone looking to build confidence. The Advanced Filleting Masterclass is better suited to those with prior experience or professional interest.
What should I bring with me?
Nothing is needed on your part. We provide all the fish, knives, aprons, and PPE. Just wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes.
Can I take the fish home with me?
Yes — all fish you work with during your class is yours to take home. It’s a great way to enjoy the fruits of your labour and share with friends or family.
Where are the classes held?
All classes take place at our Bovey Tracey HQ, just opposite the House of Marble. You’ll receive clear directions and parking info once your booking is confirmed.
How do I choose a date and time for my session?
Once you’ve placed your order, we’ll be in touch to arrange a date and time that works for you. Sessions are typically held in the afternoons during the week or on Saturday mornings, depending on availability.
